Statement of Content

I have been wondering what to call what I’ve been writing. It isn’t science writing since I’m increasingly putting my opinions into it. This is like a science essay except I am not a scientist. I do hope to include rigor in what I say. I could call it a philosophical essay but that sounds even more pretentious than calling it a science essay. This might be an American thing with its blatant professionalism and sneering backwoods hatred of thought. Hell, I’m just curious, and writing focuses my attention. So, I’ll call it posts in a blog. A couple of years back someone wrote on a power pole near the university: “I don’t give a fuck about your blog!” OK. Onward.
